Iconography of the Invisible is the first solo exhibition in Rome of Federica Amichetti, who shows her series of paintings Liquiscape (2011) exploring Illusion. “When our thoughts are not cages, but rather light forms similar to silk, and they are fragile, and transparent, or just signs, they will reveal what is beyond. And perhaps what is beyond is more real than what we call reality.” (Federica Amichetti)

Federica Amichetti studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata. Among the younger artists in the art scene in her region, she is perhaps the one who most clearly and unequivocally carries out a precise investigation of the possibilities of cognitive penetration of contemporary art, the main path to forcing the border of reality and “letting the Invisible be visible”. A path already walked by the great masters of modernity, who created a new tradition of reduction and anti-mimetism. Federica Amichetti explores this path in her own way and offers a painting which floats between reality and dreams. This approach is reflected in the magic Liquiscape, landscapes that unify nature and culture, the material and the immaterial, the visible and the invisible.

Federica Amichetti lives and works in Recanati. Since 1999 she has attended the Minimo Teatro drama school in Macerata under the direction of Maurizio Boldrini and also took part in the workshop on the feminine held by Betty Bee in Pesaro, as well as a workshop on the perception of reality held by Bernard Rudiger in Exilles. In 2011 she attended the Marche region section of the 54^th Biennale di Venezia curated by Vittorio Sgarbi at the Mole Vanvitelliana in Ancona.

Iconografia dell’invisibile è la prima personale romana di Federica Amichetti che mostra un ciclo di opere pittoriche, Liquiscape (2011), riflettendo sull’illusione. “Quando allora i nostri pensieri non saranno della gabbie ma forme leggere some seta, e fragili, trasparenti o solo segni, lasceranno apparire ciò che c’è oltre. E forse quell’oltre sarà più reale di ciò che chiamiamo realtà.” (Federica Amichetti)

Formatasi all’Accademia di Belle arti di Macerata, Federica Amichetti è tra le giovani leve del panorama artistico marchigiano quella che forse in maniera più spiccata ed inequivocabile sta conducendo una puntuale investigazione sulle possibilità di penetrazione conoscitiva della ricerca artistica  contemporanea, strada maestra per forzare le barriere del reale e “rendere visibile l’invisibile”. Una strada battuta dai grandi maestri della modernità con esiti di riduzione e di antimimetismo ma che l’artista percorre in maniera del tutto originale offrendo una pittura fluttuante tra realtà e sogno restituita in magici Liquiscape, paesaggi che coniugano natura e cultura, materiale e immateriale, visibile e invisibile.

Federica Amichetti vive e lavora a Recanati, dal 1999 frequenta la scuola di recitazione Minimo Teatro diretta da Maurizio Boldrini a Macerata e partecipa ai workshop tenuti da Betty Bee a Pesaro sul tema del Femminile e  da Bernard Rudiger ad Exilles sul tema della visione della realtà. Nel 2011 ha partecipato alla 54° Biennale di Venezia curata da V. Sgarbi presso la Mole Vanvitelliana di Ancona, Padiglione Regionale Marche.
