Moon Jar is commonly used by the aristocratic family(班家) in the Joseon Dynasty era.
During the Joseon Dynasty, the Moon Jar is a symbol of the noble mind of the scholar in the confucian culture.
It is one of the most beautiful ceramic which is represented the purity, integrity, nobility and spotless clarity of the noble man’s behavior.
The shape of Moon Jar is slightly asymmetric, which is formed when half divided forms are put together, that makes a sense of feeling of gentle image of Korean mother, even more which gives us to feel generous mind and comfort.
The exhibition of Moon Jar will present us relaxation and restfulness suffered from rapidness and impatience of modern life, which will be a kind of meditation and a state of emptiness.
