James Edmonds’ (1983, UK) work focuses on the poetic nature of recording and the essence of the photographic, particularly in relation to analogue methodologies and the processing of light into a physically collected material.
Moving between painting, installation, film-making, and sound, he approaches his practice as process, where thought, visions and impressions are gathered and collected, becoming footage for a suggested film that is constantly unfolding simultaneously in the unconscious and in the concrete.
